The work of Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter is rooted in dignity, strength, and progress. The women they serve are not defined by their circumstances, but by their resilience, and the day shelter’s role is to partner with them, not speak for them.
The challenge was to create films that reflected that belief. How do you tell stories that inspire action without relying on pity? How do you honor the people being served as the source of inspiration, not the object of sympathy, especially when you’re using these films to fundraise?
Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter is a cause PullSpark proudly serves pro bono each year. We created two distinct films, each serving a specific purpose, but united by the same point of view.
The Brand Film was designed to capture the heart of the organization:
A visual expression of its mission, values, and belief in partnership.
The Story Video focused on the powerful, personal narratives, highlighting the strength of women whose journey reflects what’s possible when support, trust, and dignity are present.
In both films, the storytelling centered on resilience over hardship, progress over pain. The women weren’t framed as problems to be solved, but as people worth investing in. Because sometimes the most inspiring stories are about who an organization serves.
