Position overview
The Director of Business Development will bring at least 10 years of proven experience in the event, experiential marketing, or agency space. This role blends strategic vision with relationship-driven sales, leveraging a strong network and industry expertise to generate high-value opportunities.
This leader will focus on positioning PullSpark for large-scale partnerships with Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies by securing RFP opportunities, building meaningful relationships with decision-makers, and expanding PullSparkʼs presence within the industry.
This is not just about opening doors—itʼs about helping define PullSparkʼs long-term growth strategy and establishing the agency as a trusted creative partner for leading global brands.
What you'll do
Business Development & Pipeline Growth
Build new relationships that position PullSpark on RFP shortlists and bidding opportunities.
Secure RFP opportunities with Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies for events, activations, and campaigns.
Maintain a robust business development pipeline through proactive outreach and networking.
Conduct 20 networking appointments per month to build and nurture prospective client relationships.
Attend 2-3 targeted industry networking events per month, identifying key opportunities to connect with decision-makers.
Develop systems and tools necessary for business growth.
Strategic Relationship Management
Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and industry leaders.
Position PullSpark as a trusted creative partner capable of delivering measurable ROI through experiential marketing and events.
Represent PullSpark as the expert voice on the companyʼs services, pricing model,
and strategic approach.
Collaboration & Internal Leadership
Lead the facilitation of RFP responses in partnership with the internal teams and/or hand off of client needs to PullSparkʼs internal pitch team to ensure seamless proposal development.
Partner closely with leadership to align business development strategies with company growth goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure opportunities are aligned with agency capabilities and priorities.
Serve as a strategic agency leader and business partner, developing internal talent and proactively identifying cross-functional business solutions to support agency growth.
Forecasting & Strategic Planning
Deliver monthly pipeline and forecasting reports, including quarterly and annual projections.
Partner with leadership to develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring strategic investment in growth initiatives.
Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships that generate sustainable, long-term opportunities for PullSpark.
What you'll bring
Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in business development expertise involving events, experiential marketing and/or agency sales.
Demonstrated success securing and managing large-scale partnerships or RFP opportunities with enterprise or Fortune-level clients.
Strong network of industry contacts and corporate decision-makers.
Proven ability to develop and manage a robust pipeline and drive measurable revenue growth.

Compensation and benefits
Salary: $100K-$120K base salary + commission (terms disclosed in interview process)
Flexible Location: In-Office and Remote (5553 Peachtree Rd. Suite 140 Chamblee, GA 30341)
Full-time, salaried associates are expected to work 40 hours per week,
Monday through Friday, with the option to work remotely up to two days per week.Extended remote work may be approved at the discretion of your direct manager based on factors including but not limited to employee performance and client expectations.
Onsite: Up to 30% travel
Agency work occasionally requires some night and/or weekend work.
Employees may be eligible for Take-Back Hours/Days when working nontraditional and/or excessive business hours. Take-Back Hours/Days are intended to ensure associate rest and prevent burnout, and are allocated at managerʼs discretion. Take-Back Hours/Days are intended to be used within 30 days of allocation.

PTO 20 days, inclusive of:
18 vacation days accrued per year. Vacation accrual begins on your first day of employment and accrues at a rate of 1 day per month worked. First year allocation will be retroactive to the start date, with allocation renewing January 1.
