Role Overview

The PullSpark Video Editor edits compelling narrative-driven content that aligns with PullSpark's _nstinct storytelling methodology. The PullSpark Video Editor is a key player on the team, and responsible for elevating the creative space when it comes to all videos and client needs. With a commitment to excellence for every client, the PullSpark Video Editor will continually work to elevate her/his skills to best enhance both the creative output and technical quality of all video deliverables.

What you'll do

Key Accountabilities

  • Ownership of Storytelling Excellence — Create emotionally compelling videos that execute the creative vision of the deliverable using PullSpark's _nstinct storytelling methodology.

  • Ownership of Technical Excellence — Own the quality, consistency, and technical excellence of all video deliverables.

  • Project Execution — Deliver projects on time and within budget while proactively managing priorities, communication, and production challenges.

  • Post-Production Leadership — Strengthen PullSpark's post-production capabilities through innovation, workflow optimization, contractor oversight, and continuous professional growth.

Core Responsibilities

Creative Storytelling

  • Push forward creative vision and direction for videos in line with the client’s brand, using vision and creative thread for deliverable as determined by Creative Director.

  • Edit, color grade, sound design and occasionally lightly animate videos while upholding the _nstinct storytelling methodology.

  • Ensure every edit reinforces the deliverable's Creative Thread and intended audience transformation.

  • Shape narrative pacing, emotional tension, and visual rhythm to maximize audience engagement.

  • Make editorial decisions that intentionally support clarity, emotion, and action, in addition to aesthetics.

  • Translate creative strategy into emotionally compelling visual stories that move audiences toward the desired action.

Post-Production Excellence

  • Execute editing, color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and finishing.

  • Produce edits that consistently meet PullSpark quality standards before client review.

  • Maintain organized project structures and media archives on server / cloud storage organization by backing up and organizing footage with zero missing media.

  • Ensure technical quality across all deliverables.

  • Strive to produce fresh, innovative work by bringing new creative editing techniques to the team.

  • Work with creative producers on screening schedules for client deliverables so it aligns with the client’s desired timeline 

  • Occasionally work as an on-site editor to quickly refine, uplevel, and deliver fast-turn edit updates for event content

  • Delivering projects on or before agreed deadlines, and communicate effectively when they may not be met and why well in advance with a recommended solution for timely delivery

  • Manage workflow across campaigns and projects

  • Work with leadership to anticipate and resolve internal team and client issues as they are identified, and utilize the support of the leadership team as needed.

  • Adhere to post specific project budgets, and create a plan to address any outside post needs early.

  • Develop and document editing standards, workflows, and best practices.

  • Help evaluate new software, plugins, AI tools, and editing workflows that improve quality and efficiency.

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on post-production.

Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with Creative Directors, Creative Producers, Copywriters, and Event Producers throughout the creative process.

  • Participate in screenings and provide constructive creative feedback.

  • Clearly communicate editorial recommendations and technical constraints.

  • Contribute creative concepts during brainstorming and pre-production—not simply during post-production.

  • Recommend ideas respectfully when a stronger storytelling opportunity presents.

  • Recommend editorial approaches, pacing, music, structure, and visual treatments that strengthen the client's message.

  • Supporting client satisfaction through thoughtful revisions and proactive communication.

Production Support

  • Attend productions when needed to advise on coverage and editorial considerations.

  • Assist in developing shot lists that improve efficiency in post.

  • Attend video shoots and live events on an as needed basis and be a key representative of the PullSpark culture on video sets and events

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple edit timelines simultaneously.

  • Forecast post-production risks before they impact deadlines.

  • Elevate the overall quality of PullSpark's post-production network by mentoring freelance editors and identifying, recommending, vetting, and fostering relationships with contractors that meet PullSpark’s standards of taste and style.

  • Work alongside contract editors to help provide technical and creative strategy, providing vision, PullSpark style best practices, and technical support

  • Stay current on editing trends, AI tools, plugins, and emerging storytelling techniques.

  • Regularly bring new ideas and efficiencies back to the team.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities.

What you'll bring

Required Experience, Education, Demonstrated Skills

  • A minimum of five years of editing experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Intermediate After Effects knowledge

  • Advanced color correction and cinematic color grading experience

  • Professional audio mixing and cleanup experience

  • Ability to integrate motion graphics into edits

  • Multi-camera editing prowess

  • Background in documentary and/or narrative editing

  • Familiarity with collaborative review platforms such as Wipster

  • Knowledge of AI-assisted editing workflows

  • Media asset management experience

  • Understanding of broadcast delivery standards

Compensation and benefits

The Details

  • Location: Remote / In Office (5553 Peachtree Rd. Suite 140 Chamblee, GA 30341)

  • Onsite: Up to 20–30% travel

  • Office Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (weekends and/or nights required depending on events)

  • Fair Labor Standards Act status: Exempt (Salaried)

  • Background check required before hire

  • Must be authorized to work fulltime in the United States

  • Salary and Bonuses

    • $90,000–$110,000 annually based on experience and expertise

    • Opportunity for annual bonuses if in good standing / going above and beyond
